About Uberti's Fresh Fish Market

Nestled at 88 Ferry Blvd, Stratford, CT 06615, Uberti's Fresh Fish Market offers an experience that feels like a hidden gem for seafood lovers. This quaint retreat, beneath its unassuming exterior, bursts with fresh catch options, bringing a slice of the ocean to one's plate. From the moment the door swings open, the unmistakable aroma of the sea greets visitors, immediately implying the authenticity behind the establishment's name.

The menu here doesn't just delineate choices; it tells a story of flavor and freshness. Patrons rave about the vibrant seafood chowder, a warm embrace on a chilly day, and the lobster roll that's said to rival those found along Maine's rugged coastline. As talk circulates through enthusiastic diners, the fish tacos are frequently hailed as a must-try. Overflowing with fresh ingredients and perfectly paired spices, they seem to strike the ideal balance between modern zest and classic seafood enjoyment.

It’s not all about seafood; the market side is another spectacle entirely. Fresh catches lay on ice—shimmering in the gentle overhead lights, inviting customers to pick and choose. There's something rather invigorating about selecting fish with eyes still clear, scales glistening as if caught just moments before. Whether a seasoned chef or a home cook experimenting with a new recipe, the offering undeniably caters to all.

For those harboring a sweet tooth at the end of a seafood indulgence, dessert here doesn't disappoint either. While choices might seem limited, each option is crafted to complement the briny main courses rather than overshadow them. Something like the key lime pie, with its tangy rhythm paired with a buttery crust, ensures the meal concludes on a high note.

Uberti's appears well-loved by Stratford locals and visitors alike, as suggested by glowing reviews scattered across various platforms. Comments almost invariably highlight the personable service. It’s clear that staff members possess a warm knack for making customers feel at home, always ready to recommend the perfect dish based on even the vaguest of descriptions.

Strategically placed along a stretch of boulevard easy enough to find, the location also provides a quaint escape without straying too far from town. It’s this balance of accessibility and retreat that further elevates Uberti's standing as a go-to destination for both gastronomical curiosity and reliable taste.

Ultimately, a visit to Uberti's Fresh Fish Market isn’t just about a meal; it’s about an experience—a unique convergence of fresh, flavorful seafood delivered in a setting that's teeming with character.

Good little spot right by the water. And by looking at the vibe it's definitely one of the local spots the neighborhood knows about. I got the fish and chips and a fish sandwich. And if you like a crispy beer batter style fish this is your spot. And im not big on french fries but I did enjoy the way they made them. And one of the better things is you get a discount if you have cash. So just a heads up, also there is a fish market if you want to buy your own fresh fish right next door attached to the place.

The absolute BEST fish & chips in the area, hands down! Cant beat the family special either. Big portions and always cooked perfectly. Plus their tartar sauce is incredible. Highly recommend!

awesome as both a restaurant and a fish market! our latest trip we ate outside, we would highly recommend the captains platter (2 pieces of fish, 2 studded clams, 6 shrimp, 6 scallops ~$38). fish and chips are some of the best we've ever had -- breading is to die for! everything was super fresh and honestly we felt like we got a great deal. we also got a half dozen oysters, which were delicious and fresh too! staff was friendly. already looking forward to coming back

BEST. SEAFOOD. OF. MY. LIFE. HANDS DOWN. The owner was an absolute delight and was super informative and his customer service was on point. The food was aaaaaaaabsolutley amazing. We took pics after we started eating but we got the lobster rolls and the fisherman’s platter ( I believe that’s what it was called) and it was plenty for 2 people. Everything was cooked fresh and served hot. Never had anything fresher and would recommend over and over again. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

Wow! A must-taste! I got the captains combo and it was enough for 2 meals. The seafood was huge! I usually don’t even like Cod, but everything was delicious. The shrimp were succulent, The scallops were mouthwatering. Even the fries were popping! One of the best seafood combos on the CT shoreline. I stumbled upon this place while running errands nearby.

Was randomly in the area and got the itch for some fried seafood. Uberti’s popped up first on the search and the high ratings are LEGIT. The fried clam strips were really, very good. So were the fries and slaw that came with them. Crab cake was ok, prob wouldn’t order again. Prices are hard to beat especially considering other similar places along I-95. All in all, can’t wait make a return trip to try more of their offerings.
